Good roster. Bad coach. Too many injuries. Lakers need younger blood.

any team with mike d is bound to disappoint, especially one without the legs to run his ridiculous one sided system. they need to amnesty kobe, start making moves to rebuild throughout the offseason/next season, then bring him back in 2014-15 for a real title run.

if they were healthy all year then yes. but since none of the starters got to all play together at a 100% I'm gonna have to say no

Yea, it's crazy but Cuban is right. It's not even worth Kobe coming back to a injury prone dysfunctional team coached by D'antoni unless he just wants to ride it out and pass MJ in scoring. If he wants any chance at a ring next year needs to be one they make moves. I think they need Dwight to stay for this as well as a nice young scoring PG, some shooters and hustle type role players.

It all depends on how Kobe heals up...I honestly thing he shouldn't come back next year and come back the year after that for his final year in the NBA.

Even with Kobe i think they would have still lost to the Spurs in the first round.

Most disappointing in history? nah. The Lakers just need to mesh the chemistry and get an identity. Honestly, Dwight isn't worth having on the team because he can't be a leader & Gasol isn't consistent. They need younger talent & role players who will run with Kobe for a few shots at a ring. Bring Phil back or name Kobe coach

Sure they messed up big time, but the most dissapointing in history? not imo.
To me, teams like Rockets 96-97, was more dissapointing.

naw. People forget the lakers have an old roster too. & their bench is horrible. Steve blake is the worse backup pg.

pretty damn disappointing. losing to the mavs in 10-11 was bad too. also, that season when they were up 3-1 on the suns and ended up losing. fuck that. i strongly believe the lakers could've made it to the finals easy if they got past the suns that year.

edit: also losing to the pistons in the finals with malone and payton was wack as fuck.
