some people are pissed off at him but the dude put in 11 years of straight work for the club

the mariners had to get what they could from him as he was a free agent at the end of this year anyway and it didn't look like he was going to be resigned.

he was the one who requested the trade as he said he noticed the franchise is focusing on getting a lot of prospects/younger players rather than big names and it's a team he couldn't really see himself playing on

glad to see him play against the mariners in his first game as a yankee so he could get a proper farewell from seattle's fans
