Any reason why they're so dominant this time around? I heard they had 90 shots on goal recently.
Shot mentality is one reason why they’ve been so dominant for the most part. Coach Sutter preaches shot mentality and aggressive fore-checking add that to a strong defensive structure and some goalie named Jonathan Quick who's alright.
Offense was always their Achilles heel so when they acquired Carter at the deadline the offense ignited. Before the Carter trade we struggled mightily on the offensive side, we had guys playing out of position, guys trying to do too much which caused the inconsistent play. Since the Carter trade though we’ve looked like a completely different team offensively, so much confidence with the puck and smart zone play.
