I didn't want to hurt any feelings in this thread but I guess I have to *kanye shrug*
For one, Melo is a better passer but you guys already knew that seeing as Kobe sees the floor like this
Melo has a wider array of post moves, meaning even on his worst shooting nights he's still one of the best in the league at getting to the line. Those nights Kobe shoots 3-20 he's basically useless
Lastly, even though both of them do this selectively, Melo is a better overall defender because of his size and length. Although as of late we've seen Melo committing to defense on a nightly basis.
