I want to start running hills outside my neighborhood to work on my conditioning, but I need to pick up a good running shoe first. All I have for the gym is weightlifting shoes. I see a lot of people wearing Nike Free's, but I wasn't sure if they were actually worth a damn for running, or if they're just trendy.

It all depends how you run, where you're running, and what you actually need. For feel, casual running, and on softer grounds, the Nike Frees whoop ass. Make sure you size them right and get them as close to TTS as possible. If you have bad knees, running on pure concrete, or looking to go for longer distances, you need something with support (which wouldn't be the Frees). The best all around running shoes I think right now that Nike makes would be the Lunar Glides, or any in the Lunar series.

yeah go get fitted at a running store. everyone runs differently so they'll fit you with a shoe that will minimize injury. if you dont, asics are always a good choice and you can find them for relatively cheap, and about free i've always been told to be iffy about nike. lunar is good but shox and airmax are a bad choice, dont know about free though.

they are not bootleg , they are an inside brand from the "decathlon" franchise stores , they got the best quality/price rate for entry level stuff , honestly I don't feel like wasting my 130

best deal I had for 20€ trust me , the strap keep the shoes locked to your feet and you feel like you're running on pillows .

These are what I run in, I used to run in astro turf football shoes but I started getting loads of foot problems, I cop these and they're AMAZING to run in. Super comfortable, definitely recommend.

about 30/40 minutes 3 times a week + 20 minutes on high speed when I go to gym . I play soccer 2 times a week (championship match+training) ,so I don't wanna charge my leg muscles with too much work
