-stat worked overtime this season and it's starting to catch up

-melo isn't adapting to d'antoni's system

-billups is too slow to run d'antoni's system, especially since his injury

-we have no bench or center

-landry fields is underutilized

that's what's goin on. i hate to be pessimistic, but it'll probably be a quick 1st round exit for us. hopefully the offseason will provide us with a few additions to the bench as well as a half decent center, along with some time to really mesh as a team. if so, we have a lot of potential in the 11-12 season.

Back above .500 and it feels so good...we need this win against the sixers, get back to the sixth spot. That way we can play the faltering Celtics in the first round as opposed to the Heat, that's a matchup I don't want to see right off the bat lol.

we're better suited against the heat, the only position they have an advantage is SG and they lack depth just like we do. celtics are deep and a great team all around. i'd rather see us play the bulls over the celtics in the first.

Ehhh I'm just going based off recent play from both teams, in short the heat have been tearing shit up whereas the celts have been faltering since they lost perk, rondo hasn't been playing at his normal level and overall they lost games to teams they shouldn't have lost to. Not to say that come the playoffs the celts won't bring their a game, everyone will, but the knicks have already shown that offensively they can see the celts, our defense since we've last played them has gotten better and we're getting better at finishing in the fourth so in my opinion i think if we have a good chance of beating any elite team in the east right now it's the celts.

We're going against prolly the best or the second best defense in the east, our offense is going to be tested. We need to play lockdown defense tomorrow or else I don't fancy our chances.

technically according to statscube the knicks offense is slightly more efficient when only one of the two main scorers (stat or melo for those who are retarded) are on the floor and the knicks defense is improved tremendously.

so maybe stat sitting might be a good thing?

Never seen Samuel Dalembert play, would he get that starting role at center as soon as we pick him up? And as far as role players go with the ones we have now I think we should just keep Anthony Carter and Toney Douglass the others need to be totally revamped.

Heat's bench was the deciding factor in game one. James Jones has 25 points, all from behind the arc. And a team may win occasionally without a bench but we need one, period, if we had gotten more bench production we wouldn't have gotten swept in the first round. Dalembert seems to be a good move, I'm not sure I've never really watched him play but he has to be a better option than Jared Jeffries. Toney Douglass is pure offense and Chauncey is too slow to be effective in transition, we need a young creative point guard who can move both himself and the ball, hence CP3. But he shouldn't be our primary concern, we can survive with the two point guard options we have now. I'd rather we get legitimate at the center position and get some good role players than pick up CP3 but ultimately that's up to Donnie Walsh if he still keeps his position and I know that he'll go for the superstar option instead of the intelligent option. NOT that I don't want CP3 but he can only do so much for us even with Amare and Carmelo backing him.
