no one needs to go on the knicks. they just need to play harder. they were in the bulls game until that 4th quarter when they were just out hustled. they just need to take a breather and focus.

Knicks are 32-38 after the cancerlo trade and the nuggets are 40-and 20 something.

cancerlo?

you tryin too hard

mike d'antoni needs to go. he's failed to adjust his system to accomodate 2 of the best scorers in the league and because of that, we're getting killed. let mike woodson take over for now and pray we can find a decent coach next year.

lol @ wanting the coach to go but not wanting a cancer type player to go just because of his "all star" status.

i disagree with melo being a cancer, i just think this system is completely wrong for him and the team as a whole and d'antoni has lost the respect of the entire team (save for lin)

lin went on a streak while melo was out, but we know lin was never going to perform on a superstar level forever. melo is the best damn player on the team and people seem to have forgotten that.

Although I must say the Knicks did show signs of a great defensive team. The problem is that D'antoni and his "I'm gonna just score more than you" philosophy. There positions and rotations were all out of wack, how many times did Steve Novak have to cover Derrick Rose? Look at Carmelo's track record he's NEVER been that great defender yet he still managed to be the best player on the Nuggets. Talk about the playoff track record all you want not many players can say they single handedly carried their team to the conference championship game like Melo did in the 08-09 season.

How many teams are lining up if we release Melo? How many teams are clamoring to have Mike D'antoni as a head coach? The Knicks went on that 7-game win streak playing god awful teams. I love Lin and he has tons of time to grow but he is the definition of fools gold

...The ratio for us would have been better if we didn't get a group of injuries all at the same time and fall into those two 5 and 3 game losing streaks because of it.

Why acquire him in the first place? because he's from NYC and grew up a Knicks fan?

Main reason why I don't want Dwight Howard(wants to expand his image or some market type of shit)

because he's one of the best players in the league? you should know, you were rooting for him to come to new jersey

i was one of the people against the melo trade because we were giving up so much and could've signed him in the offseason, but now that it's done, we need to hang onto him and find a coach that can create a system that would focus on him and amar'e as the go to shooters.

I think they should've traded Melo and Chandler for Dwight and Hedo.

The Knicks were doing great before Carmelo came, the Nuggets did great after Carmelo left.

The problem is obvious. Carmelo needs to be on a team where he is the ONLY focus, thats the only system thats works for him.

Dwight woulda fit in with how the Knicks play cause he's already used to passing the ball around to find the open man in Orlando. He got good defense and so does Hedo.

Carmelo can be the only star in Orlando and do his isolation plays all day. But no, everyones saying the problem is the coach.

NO COACH CAN FIX A BAD OWNERS DECISIONS.

You're right I dont know why I didn't see it from the first time I got wind of the news.

Lol, I'm just gonna throw this out there and say there IS NO WAY IN HELL we will get Phil Jackson EVER. Why would anybody want to work for this tool Dolan. Were talking about a guy who was still talking to Isaiah Thomas up until last year about working in the orginization.

God, I fucking hate this clown. He stabbed Donnie Walsh in the back and somehow managed to royally fuck up our already fucked up season even more. I dont know If I can watch any games after tonight even if we win. Not only that but he controls the New York media like a fucking political machine, which is why you never heard about him during this debacle.

http://hangtime.blogs.nba.com/2012/03/14/dantoni-out-woodson-in-as-knicks-interim-coach/?ls=iref%3Anbahpt1
A source with knowledge of the discussions says D’Antoni and Knicks chairman James Dolan mutually agreed to terminate D’Antoni’s job with New York after the two met this morning.
D’Antoni, the source said, had been advocating that the Knicks attempt to trade Anthony to the New Jersey Nets for guard Deron Williams, a deal D’Antoni believed would be beneficial for both franchises. But Dolan categorically declined that request, and the “conflicting visions” between the owner and head coach about Anthony meant there was no way forward.
D’Antoni had hoped the Knicks’ inspired and winning play with Lin as the centerpiece — while Anthony and Stoudemire were injured — would convince Dolan the Knicks could win without Anthony. Bringing Williams from the Nets would also have eases the burden on Lin, D’Antoni believed, allowing Lin to settle into a three-guard rotation.
D’Antoni asked for the meeting with Dolan after his relationship with Anthony had deteriorated sharply in recent days. He will be paid the remainder of the $6 million he’s due in this fourth and final year of his $24 million contract.

What if Woodson somehow manages to lead this disaster of a team into the playoffs this year and Dolan relapses and dies of an overdose?

knicks is a lost franchise. how you gonna have melo, lin, amare, chandler and still suck dick.
then blaming d'antoni when he went 8-2 with lin minus melo and having melo come back and be 2-8.
melo needed to go for this offense to work.
