this guy wants to say hi.

Wilt was bigger and stronger than everybody else so there was no one to guard him. I am in no one taking away from his career though cuz anyone who averages 50 points a game for a season is easily one of the best offensive players that every played.

But strictly from the 2 guard position, Kobe is the best skilled scorer that the league has ever seen, he makes shots that other players wished they could make on a nightly basis.

I respect your post but your wrong in so many parts. The statements in BOLD, I wouldn't give Kobe that much. For one:

Kobe scored 81 points against a bad team who let him. Jordan never got anything given to him especially in his prime and Im sure he couldve got over 81 in a similar senario. JORDAN IS, WAS, AND WILL ALWAYS BE THE MOST DOMINANT 2 GUARD THE NBA WILL EVER SEE. Are you joking?

%99 of Kobes offense came from Jordan and then there are things Jordan did that Kobe never did or never will do cause hes past his prime. I could debate you more but honestly, Whys this thread still going on after that video was posted. Take a look at it. Theres no comparison. Your right though, Mentally Jordan is light years ahead of Kobe. Alot of guards from Jordans era were higher mentally like Isaiah or even Iverson not that long ago. but remember Kobes biggest failure is that he doesn't have his own identity/game cause no matter how good he is:

and no Basketball fan in their right mind will put Kobe over Jordan. Its over

Let's just go ahead and pretend that Toronto IN FACT "let" Kobe score 81 on them. What team in the NBA wants to go down in history as letting a single player pour 81 points on them. If that's the case, I mean I guess the CAVS "let" Jordan score 69 on them. I'm just going to put it like this. Phil Jackson obviously coached both, and admitted in an interview that Kobe is a stronger PERIMETER player and that MJ is a better INSIDE player (mostly due to his baseball mit sized hands). Which means that MJ probably would have a SLIM chance in scoring the 81 in the same case scenario. This is because Kobe, being the better perimeter player scored seven 3 pointers to get to his 81. So obviously 21 of those 81 were due to his 3 pointers, which means that without those 3 pointers he would have been in the vicinity of MJ's 69. So with MJ, being the better inside player he would probably stay in the vicinity of his 69 in the same case scenario as Kobe. But, you can always make the argument that MJ holds the highest career point average at 30.12. But like I said before, MJ had a better supporting cast than Kobe. Which forced Kobe to take more shots, or we can give MJ the benefit of the doubt and say that Kobe is more selfish. Either way Kobe is the most OFFENSIVELY DOMINANT 2 GUARD THE NBA HAS EVER SEEN. I am not dick riding Kobe in no way seeing that I chose MJ to be better of the 2 players OVERALL.

As for you saying 99% of Kobe's offense came from MJ. Well you need to read more carefully because I basically said that. And as far as the video comparing the two in their similarities, well I posted that link..... hahahaha. Just because Kobe was a student of MJ's game, does not mean he can't be better than MJ. I mean like I said he just fine tuned MJ's game. It's the most flattering thing when a student surpasses his teacher. As far as you saying there is no comparison, well just trust me there is a comparison if there are similarities hahaha. And, NO Zeke and A.I. were not on the same level of MJ's mental game at all. If anyone was close, it was more like Sir Charles, maybe even a Larry Bird w/ mustache, Magic when he wanted to play MJ 1 on 1 for charity or the BAD BOYS (not Zeke, more like Bill Laimbeer, Dennis Rodman, or the underrated Rick Mahorn).

And honestly everyone in league has taken bits and pieces from different player's games from the past. Like I said MJ was inspired by Dr. J, obviously not as drastic as Kobe was inspired by Jordan, but you get the idea. If anything like coaches say "you got to copy the best to be the best." I don't know one kid in the 90's NOT pretending the shot clock counting down from 5 and mimicking Jordan's fade away and saying "5,4,3,2,1 and Jordan scores to win the game!" I remember my coach telling me to watch Jordan and his form. I mean why would anybody try and copy a mediocre player, I mean is my coach going be like watch Bill Cartwright and his form. MUHAHHAHAHAHAcool, I remember back in the day my boy said "dat Bill Cartwright shot look like a Unicorn" LMAO!coolcoolcoolcool

what are you like 12 years old?

first of all, before here I lived here in Boston for 6 years and was born in London. Last time I checked Boston overall championship caliber city, which can't be disputed.

second of all, even in Charlotte, the panthers went to the superbowl, and even got to the NFC championship in the second year of their franchise, which isn't losing by any means. While in LA, they are still trying to get a new team for that stupid stadium they are building. Also, the bobcats have been improving every year, and have been beating top tier talent such as the Lakers, the Lebron led Cavs, and the Boston celtics in the regular season, and its only a matter of time till they become a competitive force in the NBA.

3rd. I DID get to see jordan play as a little kid, we always had free season tickets to Celtics games (my family got season tickets for Boston area teams every year because I had leukemia, and Drew Bledsoe made sure I got those, for those who for some reason want to know.), we didn't go to EVERY home game, but whenever the Bulls came town, we were always there, my big brother was a huge Jordan fan, and he was one of my dad's favorites as well, and I also get the privilege to be able to sit right behind the man himself these days.

4th. Even if my teams sucked, that wouldn't mean I don't wanna support them. Who gives a shit? if it's my team, then I just get mad that they lose, not leave em in the dust and hop on a bandwagon like many Lakers "fans" do. There is a HUGE, and I mean HUGE amount of Lakers "fans" that disappeared after they lost to the pistons and didn't reappear again until the 08 NBA Finals. Of course the fans that actually go to games still supported the team, which was still a decent competitive team, even though Kobe had to do way more because the bulk of the team was full of scrubs.

5. I don't even hate Kobe, I hate dudes who dickride him, he is a great player, and I respect him, dapped him up courtside years ago, and bought his Kobe IV kicks. He is a dope player, but I didn't like his attitude for a long ass time, but now that he's actually a grown man, who actually acts humble on camera, and actually takes care of his kids and master gold digger wife, I don't hate the guy at all. But he will never be as good as Jordan, and he will never be as liked as Jordan.

I will say JUKI has a point when he says Iverson is underrated. I really have to agree that people sleep on A.I. because this man has the 3rd highest career point average after MJ and Wilt. 27.88 to be exact. This is pretty impressive seeing that he was also forced to carry his team for a few seasons. This means a lot of shot attempts. So why is Kobe still considered to be better than A.I., well if A.I. actually got a Pau Gasol or a Shaq I firmly believe he would have won championships. So it's not the rings that make Kobe better. Well take into consideration that Iverson was better prepared for the league by playing in Georgetown. I mean come to think about it IVERSON is the best individual offensive player ever. I mean he didn't really have a supporting cast and comes 3rd in highest career point average. Jordan I can understand holding because he didn't have to chuck up as many shots, and I can understand why Kobe's is lower because he had to chuck up A LOT of shots. But, A.I. was in a similar situation as Kobe but probably WORST and averaged a higher point average. That is UNBELIEVABLE. To put it this way Allen Iverson > Kobe Bryant > MJ as far as the most OFFENSIVELY dominant Guard. Kobe is still the most OFFENSIVELY dominant TWO GUARD though. As far as overall skills MJ > Kobe Bryant > Allen Iverson. The Answer is the best POUND FOR POUND basketball player ever and is the best little man of all time! Thank you JUKI for having me realize this.

Iverson was sick, but he's actually 6th all time on the ppg list (26.6). Lebron is actually 3rd all time right now but I'd imagine that might drop since he's got two other 20+ ppgs dudes on Miami.

Well thank you for your correction. I should have checked before hand. But, what's odd is in the Kobe Who? Thread there is a youtube video of Iverson pouring 51 or something on the Lakers. And I swear I saw them they he was 3rd but I may be wrong. Of course Elgin Baylor, Wilt, and Jerry West! But, they were from a different era. And Lebron like you said his average will fall!

I think ppl feel that they should show "respect" towards MJ...for making the NBA popular?

Bill Russell has 11 rings.

Just saying.
