I'm sure Fabregas re-newed his contract last summer which included back dated pay (3m). Henry did something very similar in his last year when he got, along with a new contract a 3m signing on fee. Wonder if Cesc was paid it all up front as well? If so...Arsenal are about to get done AGAIN.

Can't wait to see how ridiculous Real's spending will be once Mourinho steps up; wouldn't surprise me if they go all out again.

Manchester United are prepared to allow Anderson leave Old Trafford in a player-swap-plus-cash deal to land £38m-rated Benfica winger Angel di Maria.

Manchester City have entered the race to sign Bayern Munich's £50m-rated winger Franck Ribery. Barcelona and Real Madrid have dropped out because of the player's personal problems, thus leaving City and Manchester United as the only serious interested parties.

Barcelona are ready to spend £70m to thwart Chelsea's interest and bring Liverpool's Spanish international striker Fernando Torres to the Nou Camp.

Ajax have told Manchester United that it will cost £35m to persuade them to sell Uruguayan striker Luis Suarez this summer.

Liverpool are preparing a double swoop for Manchester City's Stephen Ireland and Chelsea's Joe Cole. The Anfield club are confident they have sufficient funds to finance both fees, and hope to persuade Cole to take a lower wage.



I'd fucking laugh at Joe Cole if he moved to the Reds. Lower wage and no CL......yyeaaahh, offer's too good to resist.

Why sign Hazard when Pedro's emerged & Gai Assulin is waiting for promotion? It's looking like Ribery isn't Real or Barca's main priority, that fool was to fast to come out & say they were his preference.

ibra= overpayed mercenary

id still welcome him to united but not at his price.

as for united it looks like fergie might be investing in youth and staying with it.

I think he was calling Ibra an oaf not Cantona. And to silver bullet the difference between Ibra and Berba is that Zlatan is a much better finisher which is where Berbatov has let us down really.

The best players in the world are from south america...They have that rhythm, that style, that no European can ever attain because their blood is mixed with Native South American, African, White, and a bunch of others..in essence we have more flavor.
