Eating less isn't enough, as your body will adjust to burn less fat. Heavy ab workouts like situps won't, either, because you'll build muscle, which WILL consume more calories but not enough; the muscle will sit under your fat, so even if you have hella buff abs, it won't show. Jogging for an extended period of time on a regular basis is your best bet. It sucks, but it works.

For your diet dont pay close attention to calories look at fat proteins and carbs. Eat good foods lean meats tuna food that is basically healthy.For your workout learn what interval training is. Cardio isn't productive and takes to long to lose fat

It's easy to say cardio + diet, and sure enough the cardio and exercise part may be the easier of the two. I work out times times a week, and do cardio twice a week in between, but can't seem to get rid of this ever growing belly of mine lol

So can someone go into more detail as to what a good regular diet consist of? Particularly if someone could share what they're diet consist of on a weekly basis would be that would be quite helpful.

And keep in mind that you can gain/lose up to 5 lbs in a day due to water weight.

You can't spot reduce. Lower your total body fat through proper diet and exercise.

- Caloric deficit of less calories in than calories burned.
- Eliminate simple carbs/starchs, focus on complex carbs.
- Shift to only drinking water.
- Stop eating garbage food but give yourself 1 "cheat day" a week to eat whatever you want to keep your cravings manageable. After a few weeks (especially once you start seeing results) you won't crave junk food anymore.
- Exercise focusing on HIIT sprint training.



HIIT (High Intensity Interval training):

Easiest way is using an exercise bike.

Start with 10 minute work outs with 20 second sprint sessions, 40 second "break" periods (jogging).

Work out start:
- Start at a medium 'jog' pace for 40 seconds
- Once 40 seconds is up immediately shift to FULL-ON "sprint" speed as fast as you can for 20 seconds
- Once 20 seconds is up, shift back to you "jog" pace (DO NOT STOP) for 40 seconds
- Once 40 seconds is up shift back to your fastest sprint pace for 20 seconds
- Then back to jog pace

Repeat for 10 minutes.

These will kick your ass and burn fat while retaining lean muscle mass. You'll start to shed pounds very fast. The first week will be predominantly water weight but from there you will see awesome results.

Believe me though, they will destroy you your first couple sessions.

After week one, shift from 20/40 to 30/30 for your sprint/jog periods. Add another minute to your work out progressively and work your way up to a 40/20 (sprint/jog) period within 20 minute work out sessions.

Crunches will build core abdominal strength, but a layer of belly fat isn't going to do you much good.

Biking will tone up your legs, but they'll be lean and slim. If you want mass you need heavy weighted resistance training.

Wanna gain? Squat.

Eat less/Eat healthier/Engage in a lot more cardio. The funny thing is 80 percent of the "how do I lose fat questions" are easily answered by common sense, you already know how to do it you just don't want to.

Definitely cardio and foods with less fat and carbs. I really enjoy the fruits and veggies. They don't have to taste bad. Get some sweet recipes off line and make then up! Grilled veggies are my favorite!
