I ended up getting an Arbor Sizzler lol. It's small and really tight on turns, kinda what I was looking for in the city. I tried bombing on it today and worst idea. I get the worst speed wobbles. haha, w/e :D First board bought. I'd like to say I have taken up the sport of longboarding. Hello guys!

i think its time for me to replace my basic pintail longboard after three weeks of use, im stuck between a landyachtz evo or a loaded dervish...anyone got opinions of each boards??

chill boss , i didnt see the official longboarding thread, anyway what`s wrong with riding a loaded after three weeks? i`ve met people who started longboarding riding a loaded...

Okay so it really all depends on what you're looking for in the board. For the more casual all-around board, I would go with the dervish. It can handle most everything except for the crazy fast downhill that the evo's capable of doing. So it all depends on your riding style and what you want to do with it. As for people talking about loaded...the thing is they eventually start sagging but I've had mine for a couple months now and it's still a great board. It's not at the point where I bottom out. If you check the loaded site, they have detailed weights for the flex of the boards, so just buy accordingly. If you're unsure of which flex if you're like right in the middle of two, I'd recommend going with the flex that accomodates more weight. Flex 1 is able to withstand the most, and it gets flexier as the numbers go to 2, 3, 4, etc. Hope that helped

thanks for the input pure.simplicity, but I ended up getting a Rayne Hustler. From the reviews that I've read the Rayne Hustler is pretty much like a dervish but can handle more speed and has a bit of a bouncier flex which i think is cool and is cheaper too

^my set up is:
randal r2 150mm Trucks 50*, with black jimz bushings
Abec11 Gumballs 76mm 78a, with bones reds bearings

anyway i got used to my revenge trucks that the transition to randals is weird, i got used to that 'surf-like' feel when longboarding...but when i changed the bushings on my randals it felt better...if you havent tried revenge trucks, better try one its good for carving and has crazy turning radius

i ckeck this thread way to much but w.e.

so as summer time rolls around i figure now would be a good time for a new set up and put my other two boards to rest for a little bit.

as far as decks im torn between either a lake tahoe 52" talmont or the 62 inch cadillac.
obviously the 52 is more realistic for everyday use but i dunno i think it would be fun to get used to riding a 62. what you guys think?

also as far as trucks for the 62" what anyone here recomend(brand and sizing)? i was thinking some of those revenge trucks mentioned above they seem promising.

i don't know if bombing hills in a 60" deck will actually work, will it be extra stable? cuz i read somewhere that a good size for bombing hills is around the 37" - 47" mark...oh yeah dont use revenge trucks then if your going to bomb hills its like committing suicide haha

practice on the grass first it really helps.
