squats and power cleans.
i played fullback and linebacker, but we ran a wing-t offense so fullback was basically a rb

not sure about my max reps but somewhere around
bench; 275, 10reps @ 205
squat; 375, 17reps @ 225
power clean; 195, i sucked balls at this, make sure you get your technique down cause i never did and was horrible razz
40yd; 4.9 was my fastest clocked by my coaches hand, but i think he made me slower

what about your height/weight?

2 play fullback your gonna have 2 do a lot more blocking than a runnin back would ..at less reps thou.. not 2 sound like an ass or nothing but if you are jus tryna stay on jv your bench ,squat, clean, and 40 are fine, but if you tryna go out for varsity you needa step it up kuzz niggs will put you on your ass if your not that strong..even on jv they have stronger people, but get out there and do it..mind over matter.. how old are u

bring the hips haha thats what my line coach always told me. just gotta hit from your legs, do you play inside or outside?

cleans or power cleans, you do them with a straight bar with rubber weights on a flat platform. clean and jerk too but we never did the jerk part

Hitting is a mentality, the technique will come with coaching...I played corner for a while head up wrap legs...but LB it's different you can get away with tackling higher just keep head up so you don't get yourself killed.

anyone have any tips for a RB? like tips on running the ball, cuz i barely gain yardage on carries, most of my scoring comes from short shuffle passes where im left open down the middle

Turn on the jets after you get the ball. What kind of plays do you run, and what offense?

To OP, I had around those stats as a lineman in 8th grade, but that is well beyond what some other people around your age can do. As long as you hit hard, lifts aren't nearly as important. I'd concentrate on form, plays, and doing what you're supposed to do, but I think you know that, seem like a smart guy.

i actually played RB in highschool ( freshman in college now)

And i gained over 4,000 career rushing yards and 3,000 of those were a tribute to my fullback.

I played in Indiana and the average fullback was about 210, this is because u have to be able to block LBs and some Dline men.

You should focus on Hang Cleans and Bench Press for upper body and quick reaction.

Also Squats, think heavy. Blocking is done with your lower body and arms getting under their pads and driving with the legs.

At 14 ur on the right path.

I was an all-state RB 2 years in a row, top 20 RB in the State, and only weighed 140 throughout high school. although i was benching 250 and squatting 500 so dont think size is the most important but it def. helps.

hope i helped

just keep hitting the weights man. definitely get your 40 time down also, a 5.1 is definitely not fb speed.

how big are you? make sure you're hitting the holes at full speed. dont go tip toeing and jukeing through the holes, use that for the open field. work on your strength if all else fails just switch to receiver.

damn niigga you only weighed 140lbs? i was 160lbs my freshman year. i played RB too. i was varsity all 4 years, good shit on the all state honors though. i could never mke that shit, we had a lot of raw niiggas down here in NC. i made the all county and all conference team twice though. after 2 torn acl's though and also being blind in one eye caused a lot of colleges stray away from me, also my senior year i supposedly had a "mediocre" season and everyone was saying it was due to the 2nd acl injury, i missed like 2 games that year and had a lil shy of a 1000 yards in 9 games, i guess you cant please everyone though. are you playing ball now? if so where at?

i actually am an 7th grader who played for the a team at my school where about only 3 other 7th graders made the team and i was starting fullback. i was 6'0'' and weighed 160 lbs(at the time a little bigger now)and i benched 160 for 10 reps and could max out at almost 200 my squat max is about 250 and powerclean was 190 my 40 time was 5.32 my coach pretty much tells me to lift weights and work harder on lower body strength so you can run harder and it helps ur blocking a TON also see if u can work out with the linemen in their drills i was supposed to be a tackle but got switched to fb and it helped out a lot too because blocking then became second nature and i could concentrate on being a better runner.

well, hope i helped and good luck!

get that lower body strength up, youll need to be explosive especially if you have to block d-ends and outside linebackers, work on squats and power cleans cuz the stronger the lower body is the easier it is to move defenders back after the initial hit, youll have to be choppin your feet and using that leg muscle alot
