Up and Down buttons don't work

Am I the only one that can't go up and down while writing a post? Like while I'm typing out this question, I can press the left and right buttons to go left and right, but pressing the up and down buttons on my keyboard doesn't actually make the text position marker go up and down between lines (no, the up and down buttons are not broken on my keyboard).
