I recently gifted someone for a purchase, not on hypebeast, and is looking if it is possible to
get my money back.

Has it been done before?

I know that gifting removes all your protection as it is a gift, but it seems that a very small percentage somehow are able to get their money back?

If anyone can shed some light on this, it would be greatly appreciated.

Filing a dispute would be your best bet. But it'll be harder to get your money back since you sent as a gift.
I'd also contact paypal about the matter and explain your situation.

actually call paypal and tell them that seller told you to send as gift.

then they'll file a dispute

on ST , i gifted someone 40 for 2 tees thinking it wasn't much and the seller seemed legit....
but I haven't heard from him in two weeks....
