there's a issue with quoting in the forum, where if you wanted to quote a member, your reply turns into a quote itself (but as from the member before you who you tried to quote).

kinda confusing, but here's an example: HERE

quoting problem:

when i quote someone, it quotes what they said, AND what they quoted in their own post. i just wanna quote THEM. dont want the whole conversation showing up in my post

Hey 929 I think someone edited too much on the quoting content so that means there's a quote in there that is not properly closed causing your own replies to be in the quote itself if you get what I mean.
Proper quoting code: [ quote ] [/ quote ]
The error: [ quote ] ___

Hi PlatinumRespect, thats actually normal. If wanna only quote on what they said then you need delete all the quoting content after the quoting tag with their name in and before the close tag and what they wrote at the end.

[ quote name= xyz ] {delete everything else} xyz reply[ / quote ]
