Yes the report button helps. Also, post in the spam thread and it will stay on the top of the forum. This will make it easier for moderators to see it.
In the past couple weeks I have been moderating each user as they sign up. I check the IP addresses then IP ban them. I have added almost 50 IP's to the ban list and each of them has had at least 20 usernames. This should be reducing the amount of spam.
