ehhh... clydes are commonly made of suede too^^.

there is a number of subtle differences, midsoles, formstrips, heel logos, embossing. I think someone on CT or Pumatalk has a done a write-up once.

thx for the replies
k this might sound like a strange question but what would be like a low top equivalent of the First round. like with the same midsole, etc.? i think its the Puma basket... not sure but i remember hearing the Puma basket was the First rounds cousin or some shit so thats why. lol

Definitely Suedes and maybe Baskets are a chunkier than Clydes. My opinion really is that Clydes are the best of the three.

Don't forget the States...which are very close to the Suedes IMO.

The Clydes have the shortest tongues and bulkiest look due to the shorter toebox and sole.

i'd go clydes all the way
i bought a pair this summer and i'm still loving them.
i had baskets before and i find that the clydes are most comfy

names are also linked to their origin of release overseas when they first came out.

states were originally only a Euro release, though nothing was fundamentally different between them and suedes. baskets are different b/c they are made out of leather.

not too sure about the difference between clydes and suedes other than it was a simple marketing tool to make one line a signature series with different colorways.

if you google it there are really subtle differences between Clydes and Suedes, not just a "marketing tool"

Basket was created first which Clyde loved but he wanted a larger varity of colours.

So Puma created a slightly new shoe with clydes name tagged on them,
the only difference apart from the colours are that ther are slightly lighter and wider.

The Suedes came out first then Walt Frazier wanted his own version called Clydes then they made a leather version of the Suede called Basket. They're all slightly different in cut.
