imagine all the job opportunities this would provide as well. too much profit in oil though, right? razz

however i'm glad to see that alternative energy's been popping up in my area. buncha wind turbines have been popping up in the hills and my geography professor says some CEOs from Portland just recently helped on a solar power plant project, as well as plans for more in the future. the world needs this shit in bigger scale though

Rhino poaching has increased 2000% in 3 years.

Africa’s rhinos face their worst poaching crisis in decades with sophisticated organized crime syndicates killing more than 800 animals in the past three years, conservationists said yesterday.

The two horns on each rhinoceros sell for high prices on the black market in South-east Asia, where they are believed to have medicinal properties.

Vietnam, where the horn is ground down for medicines, is repeatedly implicated in the South African poaching trade.

The Swiss-based International Union for Conservation of Nature said poaching of the two different species of African rhinos is on the rise in South Africa, Zimbabwe and Kenya. South Africa alone lost 333 rhinos last year and has lost more than 70 this year so far, according to IUCN.

"I found and watched their documentary about them. It is so amazing. The one on the left, his name is 태호 and on the right is his younger brother. 태호 is 11 years old and his brother is 8. Aren’t they lovely? 태호 was born with two legs. He is such a happy kid! Despite what happened, he can do everything by himself. It’s so amazing how God can lead him anywhere. He never complains about his life and he never complains about anything. He always smiles! His brother is also a great kid. Even though he has mental illness issues, he gets so much love from 태호. anywhoo... the video is hella sad.. i wouldnt say stop bullying only in china but mainly stop bullying everywhere... the little girl looks as though she's mentally disabled and yet those kids are doing fucked up shit to her. i couldnt even finish watching the damn thing. and what pisses me off is that they're at school and there's no one stopping them (though i wont know cuz i dont want to watch it all the way through =/ )
