If you want to do early eaction then you will probably apply between october-december, if not then yeah after the 1st semester is where you would aim to apply.

Lots of people kill themselves at Cornell, plus Dartmouth and Brown both offer a lot of flexibility in curriculum and scheduling which is nice

^ Apply to Columbia, it's a little better than the schools you applied to, but it's definitely worth it. Brown and Columbia are practially a toss up.

I don't really want to go to school in NYC proper...i feel like that would detract from the traditional campus feel

I go to Drexel, it sucks dick, don't even apply.

It really depends on what you want to major in. Certain schools are known for certain programs.

For Philly:

Don't go to Temple; it may have a football team but fuck that. Would you go to a school in Compton?

Drexel...Nerd shit.

Penn...Good luck.

St. Joes is probably the best imo. Near Drexel, Penn, etc but has the college vibe you are looking for.

But then again I'm not going by major at all; just college experience.

And Penn State isn't going to give you the east coast feel you are looking for; although it is THAT party school.

And Phily has the best college basketball bar non. Fuck the others.
