If you want to do early eaction then you will probably apply between october-december, if not then yeah after the 1st semester is where you would aim to apply.

ya most colleges don't let you apply til october, some private colleges even later
Aug 24, 2009 @ 21:26
^

Why only those two Ivys? Might as well apply to Cornell as well.

Lots of people kill themselves at Cornell, plus Dartmouth and Brown both offer a lot of flexibility in curriculum and scheduling which is nice

Do your own damn research.

Penn - UPenn, Penn State
DC - George Washington U
NY - NYU, Parsons, Columbia
NJ - Princeton
Mass - Harvard, MIT
Aug 25, 2009 @ 15:21
^ Apply to Columbia, it's a little better than the schools you applied to, but it's definitely worth it. Brown and Columbia are practially a toss up.

I don't really want to go to school in NYC proper...i feel like that would detract from the traditional campus feel

I go to Drexel, it sucks dick, don't even apply.

It really depends on what you want to major in. Certain schools are known for certain programs.

I think statistics might be the hardest shit I've ever done
Aug 25, 2009 @ 15:57
^ I'm glad I didn't take it then. And wtf is up with my damn Psych class, over half the people in their are complete morons. I'll drop out before I take that class any longer.

For Philly:

Don't go to Temple; it may have a football team but fuck that. Would you go to a school in Compton?

Drexel...Nerd shit.

Penn...Good luck.

St. Joes is probably the best imo. Near Drexel, Penn, etc but has the college vibe you are looking for.

But then again I'm not going by major at all; just college experience.

And Penn State isn't going to give you the east coast feel you are looking for; although it is THAT party school.

And Phily has the best college basketball bar non. Fuck the others.

Man...I really like how like only 3 of my five professors have showed up this week

Yes, looks like the slums. I visted drexel, upenn & temple. drexel just borders a slum looking area, it's a very integrated campus into philly (i think it's like on west side? ). upenn is nice, very nice. but temple, (i think on the north side? ) is the fucking pits. i would suggest visiting or talking with someone who goes there tho, since their word is most likely better then mine.

Anyone know about the school FIT in new york. Just curious about it because its the only school in nyc that i'm applying to cuz i don't have the grades for NYU or columbia. Seems like it would be cool i visited it.

i know about it i'm just wondering if anyone has gone/heard anything about it. would REALLY appreciate it.

Fashion Institute of Technology? Not exactly a lot of choices to major in there, but if that is what you are into then it is a good school.
