Also doing a lot of reading & research on my own, on script writting & indie film making. Also plan ontaking some courses outside the university. what do u wnt to know about CoC.
its just an Overcrowded JC.
Valencia is EH.... as Julian said, there really isn't much to do up here besides six flags and whatnot.

telling you man, in no way could it not be an upgrade from the AV. it'd just be nice to get out of here, but be close to the family, and also closer to LA

how hard's getting classes there though?
Aug 11, 2010 @ 14:31
280$ to pay for a semester of classes at SMC.
what a great program honestly.

stay bumming paying off your loans boys, we are all getting the same education!

i actually think SMC is one of the best CCs but you cant compare a good CC to a good university. it doesnt matter if the classes at SMC are better; having say an ivy league school on your resume is the only thing that matters. i guess if you want to be an electrician or janitor or data entry person or something the school doesnt matter but it sounds like you don't know of the opportunities out there to people at great schools (ex: finance/law/med/etc)

registration for CoC has been happening for about the last week.
A lot of my friends only have one registered class for the upcoming semester.
Its BEYOND difficult to get into all, or even the majority, of the classes you want. When do you plan to go to CoC?
This fall semester?? Today is the day that the 11th and 12th graders can sign up for classes @ CoC as well, so the competition is ridiculous. Personally, I'm really glad that I didn't have to end up going to CoC.

PM me if you have any other inquiries
Aug 11, 2010 @ 16:06
^ already taking CoC out of my plans that i'm considering haha. sounds even harder to get classes at AVC. it's just impossible to get core classes, everything else is pretty open.

good looks though, about to PM ya

Went to SU for a year (last year, so 09-10) but transferred out at the end of the year. Its a school in transition and I'd take a long look at it if you're thinking of going there. I had troubles with the rain and all but I was from out-of-state and I see you are not. Other than weather it has overcapacity issues, they keep raising class sizes and don't have the money to expand, I think housing this year is like 112% and a bunch of my friends got kicked out of their rooms or forced into "economy" triples at a strikingly under-discounted rate. The area is dope though and some awesome cultural stuff (music, movies, ect). I left because I felt they were modeling growth after Gonzaga (sports being improved at the expense of academics-lowered acceptance standards to get better athletes) rather than try and develop the strong academic reputation they had built up to. Overall it was a good school though, just some things to consider.

word. one of the reasons i am interested in SU is because it's a little easier to get accepted into, has smaller classroom sizes, and has better quality dorms, all in comparison to UW. and im going to try to apply financial aid...and private schools usually give out more money.

and yeah, I might apply to Gonzaga as a safety/safety

Nice list, but if you're going to apply as high as MIT, you should really add some colleges to your list (caltech, ivies, stanford). Cause i know MIT is pretty damn hard to get into (harder than columbia or penn)

Word, thanks for the advice. I'm interested in studying astronomy/physics/astrophysics and MIT is one of the top dogs for that. Also looking into caltech.

Not to ruin your dreams or anything but MIT/CalTech are THE top two schools physics/any type of engineering based science/math. Unless you're the BEST of the best, I wouldn't plan on going to either of those. But hey, if you got that 4.0+/stupid ass amount of extracurriculars then goooo for it smokeyface
