I was a sophomore in high school. 1st period was a free period so I was wondering the halls when the school treasurer told me. I was picked up from school during lunch. I just remember praying hard.

wow i remember i was at home (canada) cause i came back just the day before from hong kong. So i was like 10 and like every kid, the first thing i do when getting out of bed is to go and turn on the tv. When i turned it on, i think they were doing replays of the first hit and i remember asking my parents if it was a movie...

my parents come into the room, and as they watch they slowly fall into a state shock.
That morning they didnt allow me or my sister to go to school cause they were scared that other public spots would be targeted. :\

I just re-read my post and discovered that I put I was a senior in high-school...which was not the case @ all, lol, I had a mind warp and was probably confused when writing that. My memory aint all that good, but when I re-did the math I was 13 when it happened so I'm not sure what grade that 9th or some shit?

i was in my biology class and i remember the kid in my lab group took a phone call in class and it was his mom saying a plane just hit the WTC. we were kinda like 'wow, thats crazy' but all just thought it was a small plane or something. then when the second hit our professor got a call from the school and they cancelled our class and sent us home. still not really knowing what was going on and how bad it was i went to the mall cause 9/11 ghetto fabolous and the blueprint both came out and i went to cop. i went to the mall and while i was inside they said the mall was closing due to the terror attacks and thats when i knew it must be really serious. it wasn't until i was walking out a resturuant had a tv on showing the damage, so i went right home and was glued to the tv for the rest of the day.

I think most people in this thread can agree that they watched all the news footage for 2-3 or even a week after 9/11 happened.

I know I did. I didn't go back to school until 2 weeks later, and shit was never the same.

I was in my 7th grade homeroom. I don't think that I understood the full gravity of what had happened even though I was watching it on television. Everyone's parents (including mine) pulled them out of school so fast that day.

same here. All the phones were off the hook that day, no one could get threw...

6th grade. I didn't really get it. I was stoked that I got the day off from school, but later on I had realized that it was some sort of attack rather than some sort of accident. Then I went and watched the news and the TRL coverage.
