I'm getting my wisdom teeth pulled tomorrow and I'm getting mixed reactions some say it hurt with with the sleeping aid but some say it doesn't. What are your experiences with wisdom teeth?

I heard they have to cut your gums open and pull em out... I'm kinda nervous, coz the wisdom tooth (molar) on my left side isn't showing yet.

all 4 of mine were impacted ((under the gums))
knocked me out, and i came home, popped a vicatin and was out for like 18 hours...if you got somebody to change your gauze and shit then you're straight...
honestly, it was just annoying, making sure i kept it clean for a few weeks until the holes closed up..

you'll be fine though, it shouldnt be that bad...
good luck bro =]

I had mine pulled out but it didn't hurt. It was just weird to hear all the work being done in my mouth but not actually feel it. I received novocaine shots so I was awake the whole time. After the procedure was finished, my mouth was packed with those mouth pads to soak up excess blood. I didn't get stitches. I just had to keep replacing the mouth pads. If you aren't stitched up, try to avoid dry socket. Luckily, I didn't so I was good but for the next couple of days, I didn't eat anything. sad

Good luck with everything.

Its nothing, I got mine pulled this summer. I was nervous as shit, but it's not bad at all. The only thing that sucks is that you can't eat good food for a couple days. Don't worry 'bout it.

I'm not talking about dance lessons. I'm talking about putting a brick through the other guy's windshield.

All four of my wisdom teeth were impacted, and they needed to cut into the gum and then cut each tooth in half in order to take them out.

The process isn't bad, most people get taken home and then fall asleep for a long ass time. There'll be some bleeding but don't let it freak you out, it doesn't last forever. Other than that just drink a lot of smooth stuff like chocolate milk and eat a lot of ice cream for a few days, you'll be alright. Your cheeks might be a little discoloured for a day or so but that doesn't last long either.

doesn't hurt too bad.
i got mine pulled out about 8-9 months ago.
the sleeping gas helps alot. you don't feel a thing.
i remember the assistants had to help me walk to my car.
The next thing you know, i woke up in my bed in a cold sweat. sad
It hurts for 2-3 days, but you'll be fine.

Just get an IV shot in the arm and sleep during the whole ordeal. After its done you are all drugged up and the next couple of days you just chill in bed with gauze in your mouth and an ice pack against your cheek. Nothing hurt for me when I went, was drugged the fo up. Gotta get my last two out in january sad
