Edit: I will post links to the following program

UXTheme Patcher Use this to apply non-official theme files (you must click the download link in that link.)

Styler The program to apply toolbars, or to apply non-official visual styles. You can use this instead of the patcher, but I like the patcher because then you can view the styles preview when you right click on your desktop and go to Appearence

Alternate link to download Styler:
http://www.crystalxp.net/galerie/en.id.551.htm

To install the visual styles, you follow the links in which i gave you below, download the zip/rar/exe file (exe's usually install themselves,) if it's a zip, you open styler, and you drag the folder into styler's "Style" portion. If you have UXTheme installed, you can simply put the exe files contained in the compressed file into a folder of your choice (I usually use C:\Windows\Resources\Themes, as there's already themes there,) and double click the style you just downloaded.

Other stuff:

YzDock YzDock is a Mac style dock (you know the little thing on the bottom of most mac screens where the icons are and you can click them to open applications.)

Yahoo Widget You can make this do anything you want, really, but it takes time. Don't let the name fuck with you because it's not actually made by Yahoo, they just endorse it and sport their gay ass name.

Links to get styles, wallpapers and tweaks:

Neowin's Forum for Visual Styles
Customize (.org) a good site for not just Visual Styles!
Deviant Art... most of you know what this site is.
http://interfacelift.com/ - Has some sick ass wallpapers, some styles.
http://aoq.blog30.fc2.com/ - One of my favorite sites for styles, the dude updates it everyday.

For Mac's, use this link for all the questions/answers.

No, I use a modified UXTHEME, which you can get at:

http://www.neowin.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=140707

I also use Styler, a Japaneswe windows themeing program which I've used for the past year, it's now FREE (which it wasn't before,) I use it especially for the Back and Foward type of buttons (toolbar.)

You can get it at:

http://ta2027.plala.jp/Styler/index.html

It's the the link that says Download, don't worry, it's englush and Japanese (so you chinese, english and japanese people can see it in their Windows.)

I also like Styler's option to "Snap" windows to the edge, so they can stay right at the egde of your screen, and it adds shadow to your windows to make them look more realistic. Check it out.

Mac themes are the shit! Just got myself a black Macbook, fucking awesome. Macs run adobe better than windows and the Apple OS is more stable than Windows.

Actually the macbook runs adobe products worse than the outdated powerbooks. What the fuck was apple thinking switching their processors before there was a universal binary for adobe programs? I would say they cut out 50% of their market, but, now that I think about it, they are probably just selling them out to first time mac buyers.
Still fucking stupid.

Press the 'Prnt Scrn' key while looking at your desktop, open Paint or PS and paste and it'll be there (Edit > Paste in PS). Save it and host it.

"Right-click the desktop and choose "Properties" Select the "Appearance" tab then click the "Advanced" button.

Under "Item", pick "Icon" from the drop down list. Under "Size" use the arrow keys to make the icons bigger or smaller (you could also type in a number). "
