yeah you are pushed into talking to all customers when they come in, its just some ppl are better at it than others.

I've had a few customers ask me to smokes the marijuana with em before they left. and that to me says job well done.

i just had a group interview at zumies yesterday

like literally more then 40 people showed up

you can tell though that they hire hyper ass people

everyone who works theres like energetic and yell whenever you walk in

lol ive had mixed experiences at zumiez..

first time i walk and check out some kr3w stuff like 3 employees were breathing down my neck and on that low key stalker status...

then the second time i go i had the best experience robocoppin some purple authentics

ive discovered that the only store that doesnt like me is supreme...

even though i feel some of their stuff

this thread is funny, cause i'm actually an assistant manager at zumiez.

well, i know it gets really annoying when employees are "breathing down your neck", asking "are you guys doing okay?" every 5 minutes, but honestly, we really pride ourselves in customer service at work. i do understand we hire ALOT of tools, and i can name a grip of people i wish i could fire, but thats at any work environment.

honestly, theres not many retail stores in the mall that actually talk to customers and at least attempt a conversation, as corny or fake they may sound.

ive met alot of people in the company i do not like, absolutely HATE, and i know we get alot of tools shopping in our store and trying to buy into hype, but its a job. if i could decide what goes in and out of my store, i totally would.

and as for brands "selling out" in our store: brands sell there product to OUR COMPANY. so if mighty healthy, the hundreds, stussy, 10 Deep, and Crooks show up in our stores, its usually because they WANT to be exposed to a bigger outlet of shoppers. by the way, all those brands WILL be showing up in our stores within the next year, in fact, 10 SoCal stores will be carrying Crooks, and 25 will be getting Stussy before Black Friday.

Zumiez aint for everyone, God knows i only buy boards and Vans from my store, same goes for the rest of my coworkers. We rarely even shop at our own store. But you know everyone doesnt have the same style, and if their style just so happens to be the shit we sell in our building, then they can have it, i'm not the one wearing it. idgaf. >

Thank you for unintentionally shitting on me, gawyz. I work at Zumiez, no lie. It's a retail job, I don't dress/talk/act/look like any of the dudes working there, but it pays my bills and its a chill environment. The reason why you have to be all up in a customer's ass (no homo) is because you have to build rapport w/ em, which in turn = a bigger sale. I rock my J's and Preme and PRL all the time there, and I have never bought anything from there (other than Authentics) but I still hold my job down ill-type...I snap on them sales because I know how to hustle, so they love me and they cant tell me shit about not rocking any Zumiez-type brands. I always have customers asking me where I get my gear from, and I tell them DEFINITELY not from here, but they still somehow get hustled into buying some ugly bullshit. Plus all the white hoes love my ayrab peen.

So to all y'all hating on my job................I don't give a frrrruck, as long as it enables me to hustle dumb little white kids which results in my pockets getting fatter, I'mma stay repping that ugly clothes having place.

I found my experience at zumiez very pleasant. I love how the employees just greet me reminds me of walmart. But then again i was a lil peed off when i ask did they carry nike sbs being that is a skateboard type shop and they told me no. Hmm.

I worked there it was actually my last job, unemployed as of now, absolutely hated it. The people who worked there were cool and all we'd longboard when there was no one in the store. But all the goals and shit for the day were just a hassle if I was one of the customers and I was hearing me speak, I'd punch me in the dick.
