Pretty much.
They actually like sell boards though, and basically are a step up from Journeys.

I went to a Zumiez in Lancaster, PA and I went to look for some supras. I ask the guy if I can try on the supras and he said this, "You know they're $115 shoes....right?" I then said yeaaaa... I know. I don't know why he even asked me that. That just ticked me off right there.

About time they do something a core skate shop would. I'm sad that the dudes I know at the skateshop don't clown me for collecting gear anymore. They used to skate supremes just because they got em for free with no remorse.

I never even thought about going in Zumiez.

it's easy to steal from. I went a lot when I was 14-15

hahahahaha you have to live somewhere isolated as fuck for no skate shop...

Well when someone is hounding you it's a bit different. I don't see why they can't just have employees there that say hi and stand there if you have any issues, that's what it's like in some other countries (i.e. England). I had a boss in London who was talking bout UK/US cultural differences and he thought it was mad weird that in the States employees accost you when you enter their establishment but in the UK they just stand their until you ask them for help. I mean if I need an employee I'll ask, no reason to annoy me, bad sales strategy if you ask me. I gotta say Zumiez seems to be the worst, must be company policy. I've only been to em 2 or 3 times but each time there were mad employees working (maybe it was b/w shifts i dunno) and all of em were asking if I needed help, if i wanted to see their new t-shirts, etc. A simple hello is all that's necessary.

Some fat lady with extremely tight pants and some obey shirt that works there started staring at me and a couple friends one time and she turned downed the music to hear what we were saying. Then when she went to the back of the store she told the other employee to keep an eye on us. As if I would steal anything from that lame store

Yeah.. I work at Tommy Hilfiger, and we're like required to basically harass the customer.. "Hey, did you check up on that couple over there?"..
"yes"
"how long ago?"
"well theyre touching stuff so they probably wanna buy it, go assist them"

Thats pretty much what my managers say to me all the time.. I hate it there.. If it werent for my 60% discount that my mom uses, Id quit from a long time ago

No. We have a Zumies here in PA (they're basically everywhere now) and there's this really cool girl who works there (I think there are only a few people employed there). She knows her streetwear. She commented on my Crooks & Castles hoody the last time I stopped in.

Is this that true? I got surprised with a tee and the person said they had no problems.

Is it just when you ask for help or should I expect to walk in and get heckled depending on what I look like?
