TO make your own brand, do you have to be able to make designs? Cant you come out with a brand and then hire a deisnger and tell him what to do ??

Why not? That would be a like a partner ship deal. He designs, you distribute. But if he does both, why do it with you?

yes you can. partner ship. a clothing company can only go so far without a business side or a sales side. so you can be active in other aspects of the company rather then design part.

if you have money to pay a designer, and enough to put out samples and production runs, you can do whatever you want. However without any creative direction in any kind of way for your brand it would be hard. you would have an easier time being an investor in a new upcoming brand
