As a currently embarrased rep for the UK I couldn't agree more. These same kids "rocking streetwear" are the same fags who were trying to look posh and beasting on Jack Wills a year ago. Trends will move on and so will the kids, its just annoying the current in thing is streetwear!UK trends are always blown up by 12-16 year olds. Over the years, I've seen the same people go from Nike and Adidas tracksuits, to Jack Wills and A&F, now to stuff like Stussy and HUF. Brands like Stussy and HUF will always be great, but I try and avoid wearing their stuff just because I don't want to be associated with these dickheads. It's shit reality shows like Geordie Shore, Made in Chelsea, The Only Way is Essex mixed with Tumblr trends that've slaughtered streetwear, and SupTalk UK is a fucking epitaph for people effected by this crap. I'm just hoping this trend will blow over soon.
Fucking tell me about it, I went on holiday a couple of weeks with a group. One of the girls who I had never met announced quite early on that she was "well into kicks". At one of the first opportunities I got I started to chat with her about afformentioned kicks, when she had absolutely no idea what my Amsterdams where my heart sunk and although we spoke the rest of the week I never really looked at her the same!Originally posted by Inactive UserHopefully they move onto something else soon although I doubt it. A few years ago they were same guys wearing Ben Sherman and then Abercrombie etc. joey Essex planted the seed for what is going on now. They never gave a shit about shoes and now all of a sudden they are all experts and into "limited" shoes which are mainly just runners or huaraches. *shoulder shrug*
