Make sure you can start on a hill from a complete stop comfortably. Otherwise it really sucks trying to do it for the first time on a busy street.
I haven't made it to a hill yet but my dad told me how to balance the clutch and ive done it on like a small incline with cars in back of me. I can balance it good but when its time to like pull off from a complete stop i rev the shit soo loud lol

and dont even talk about being stuck in traffic because of a car wreck.

america is filled with a bunch of fat bastards that are to lazy to use both feet and hands while driving they rather eat with the other hand and most people here dont understand the point of driving manuel they think its the same experience just more work

just practice man. it becomes second nature after a while. i have 2 cars, 1 auto(90 nissan maxima), the other manual(91 honda civic). the maxima is pretty much my daily driver, my civic isnt exactly great on gas, but it has a somewhat built motor so thats expected. being stuck in traffic in a manual sucks too, even worse now that i have a 6 puck clutch

yeah paddle shifters are only on auto cars

under 12 k and if u want a drivers car get a used miata sick handaling

incorrect; paddle shifters as the original phrase was coined come from sequential gearboxes found in many makes (Ferarri, BMW, Porsche)

and i would like to excuse my having a manual car on saving gas, but the truth is that I blow more gas because of it. I enjoy driving when driving a stick and hence, rev high very often. But if you'd like to experience truly driving a car, get a stick, you won't regret it. My first car was and still is a stick. Just don't moneyshift (start of learning to backhand your shifts if you plan on getting anywhere near redline)

what point are you lookin for?? my civic was my project car, i use the maxima to drive back and forth to work, and shit like that. they've both been well kept, and in good condition. but i will be getting a new car next year though. theres just some other shit that i have to take care of before hand.
