anyone know any good artists in the LA area with a similiar style to the tats above? im tryna do a tiger but i want it in a more traditional look like the koi tat above. black and white with a lot of good shading and a little bit of color.

I get tattoo'd at State of Grace in San Jose and Shige is close to the S.O.G. crew and does guest spots there from time to time. From my conversations with people at State of Grace, he is already booked for the Bay Area convention because he has a lot of in progress work in California. He does sometimes takes walk ups when there is a rare cancelation. He doesn't really do wait list anymore, he just kind of decides and chooses who and what he wants to tattoo.

I spoke to Shige in 2008 when he was doing a guest spot at Diamond Club in SF i and he told me it'll be easier for me to get tattoo'd if I travel to his studio in Yokohoma. I don't know if that still applies, or he just told me that since I am friends with the owners of Diamond Club.

i'm going to be living in hong kong for part of next year and want to get an asian-themed sleeve whilst i'm over there. does anyone know of good studios? or would i be better off going somewhere else in asia? also what is the stigma attached to tattoos in hongkong/china these days? don't want the locals thinking im some kind of gangster haha.
