it has to do with the story of tamatorihime trying to evade sea creatures after robbing a dragon of his pearl she tries to get away and dies in the end after cuttign her breast open to hide the pearl from the dragon which summons the demons of the sea..and thanks for all the positive feedback

Is there a great website out there that has pictures like the one you posted along with explanations for what stuff represents? I ask because I really love the look of Japanese tattoos purely from an artistic standpoint, but I would never get someone on my body if I didn't fully understand it first. I was just wondering if there is a go-to source for this kinda stuff or if it's just scattered everywhere.

Could anyone assist me in finding Japanes styled clouds? They're normally used for backgrounds, that could be the reason I'm not having great luck.

what do you mean like sky clouds or background behind an object?

those are japanese clouds behind my rajin..i have em all over my body but it depends on what youre getting..does it need clouds?

This doesnt make since? U arent japanese so u cant put a piece of art from there on your body? Thats like saying, i wont put a painting in my house from an european artist because im not from europe.. Japanese style tattoos are an art form, so putting them on your body is just placing that piece of art on u...

Because 1) it'll be a complete waste if it holds no significance to him and 2) if he wants something "cool" inked on his arm, there are better things he can look for.

Nothing was for sale at this exhibit..it was simply for display..amazing work and the hokusi waves are very similar..if youre here in nyc go see this..its $12 and if your a student $10 closed on mondays and theyre showing 1 japanese movie per night that was directly affected by his works of art..everything was hand painted..incredible talent, i cant describe the detail in each painting

this was for sale as well for $40
