That's funny you posted that. My chest piece I posted on the last page was done for trapped under ice. My buddy who is a tattoo artist did a couple of chest pieces on friends and shit to raise money for trapped under ice when all their shit got stolen in europe.

I'm seriously considering putting together a portfolio and trying to get an apprenticeship around town. I think painting shoes would probably put my portfolio above most others... on top of that my friend was getting a tattoo the other day and some bitty walked in with a portfolio and got hired on the spot... he said her artwork wasn't even that great...

I think being a tattoo artist would be a sick job, I cant ever see myself doing something conventional anyway. Pretty decent ducket making potential too.

Oh I completely agree. I have no idea if my art skills would transfer to a different medium. Part of being an apprentice though is learning how to draw and if you're cut out for it... I mean I'm not gonna have a defeatist attitude and say I might be bad at it so I'm not gonna try.

And 7th, I think that's what Ronnie was saying. =P

oh i agree, and i was just saying the line isnt that fine. but in no way should you down yourself just accept it as a new challenge and progress but many people think it's the same game and it really isnt.

Im getting my first tattoo this Sunday.. just thought i'd make a thread to hear some experiences ect... heres a pic of what im getting on my left forearm.

Edit: It's my last name btw

have the artist draw up a sketch for you and give me the ideas how you want it or even refer to that pic you have and tell him to make it more sick so it feels worth it and you'll know your the only one with it

A fine line means that there is clearly a distinction that can be seen. Fine as in solid and not translucent. Not fine as in small.
