I tried for a short period of time as a healthier alternative lifestlye, but it didnt work.So now I'm tkaing it one step at a time and started with Soy milk : (

I tried it for a few moths and i didn;t experience any positive health benefits, i was prett ymuch the same. I have't eaten meat in a week though because I'm cutting 20-25lbs for rugby, but I'm craving meat so much I'll probably eat like 3 steaks once i'm done this diet in 2 weeks.

My Girls is a vegetarian which in turn made me one until we had sex with each other then it was back to burgers...that was like 8 years ago.

my parents used to make me be a vegitarean..accept i was allowed to eat fish and eggs up until about sixth or eighth grade...now i eat everything...they still refuse to cook or buy pork or beef for me tho..

I've been veg for a decade now. I feel better and like the food I eat better but I'm no fanatic. I don't preach and I'm not an activist.

I swear here in the midwest when you tell people you're a vegetarian they look at you like you just said you were gay or something. Not that I care about other peoples sexual preferences, but damn! Its just a food preference. Chiiiillll!

ya, most people relate it to being gay or a hippie, not to healthy living. But I don;t see why people do it for health reasons, if they do it because thye love animals or whatever that fine, but you can be just as healthy eating meat everyday as a person who never eats it.

Indian food freakin rox!

Esp in rural India where you can score a 4 course meal for a buck or two. It helps that most are vegetarian for religious/philosophical reasons and don't subscribe to the "in order to be healthy it must taste bland" theory.

I think it was in India I pretty much decided to become vegetarian.

You can gain weight. You would just have to increase your carb intake by about 25%. But eat clean carbs. Things like steamed rice, whole wheat breads (I dont know if they make a vegan whole wheat bread), if they have it, do it though. And if you can increase your protein intake by about 15%. I dont really know how vegans do it. Do boca burgers count as vegan? Ive always wondered that. But if you can do that. I dont regularly cook for vegans because they leave me with little options to work with. But im willing to try. It'll really help me craft my first trade.

I'm about 95% vegetarian.
I still like to have meat once in a while.
I love food too much not to.
I wouldnt ever be a vegan.

no, but i enjoy a lot of vegan foods, a band venue that my family runs holds vegan dinners every once and awhile.

If anyone is every bored in NYC and wants to go eat I eat at red bamboo like 4 times a week, and its the best vegan soul food in the worrrrrld!

i personally cant do it..i just try to eat well balanced meals as much as possible(most people dont eat close to enough fruits and veggies)when i eat meat its 90% chicken,fish,or turkey..perfect protien for working out..about once a week ill eat some steak or tri tip off the grill though..i found this routine to work for me..ohhh yeah NO FAST FOOD..if i do its subway(or similar) and in and out burger once in a while......
