Does anyone ever actually get their well deserved college credit?
Literally everyone that I have talked to has taken AP exams and done well, but then the tests are never counted as legitimate college credit.. has anyone had any better luck?

not all colleges take that shit bruh.

for an example I took the AP eng lang & comp last week, if I get a 3 or higher i'll be exempt from a freshman english course.

but today i took the AP american gov't... and i wont be exempt because it's only for political science/history/gov't/etc majors... $90 lol.. smdh

I took five AP exams in my last two years of HS, and I got four 3's and a 4 on my English Lit. I found out my uni only accepts 4/5, so I only got exempt for one english GE for college.
Also, the score I got on my AP chem exam wouldn't have mattered anyway, supposedly, because I have to take all the chem and bio courses at my uni since i'm a biochem major. It had me wondering if its like that for other schools too

I took 8 AP classes, and only 2 of them counted as a college course (AP Psych, and AP Calc). The rest were converted to units.

does one 4 or 5 get you one class credit? or is it a collection of the 4's and 5's that adds up to college credit

Each test gets you credit assuming that you passed. Different schools accept different scores, but most likely they will accept 4 or 5s.

Depends on the school and your major. AP Credits will get you out of a few G.E. classes like science/history/english if you took bio, world, comp, etc.

Came into college with 56 units from AP, had multiple classes deferred because of it.  The price you pay to take an AP course is nothing compared to the tuition you will pay for a course in college.  Think about it.

I didn't even take the test. It was on Thursday instead I went on a field trip to the Nanoscience and technology university near me. Worth it cus I dont give a fuck about AP world history.

I took the ap us history test but I didnt take the course, got a 4. You really dont need the course as long as you pay attention in the non ap course and study an ap us history book a bit

i came up 28 credits from AP, shit helps out a lot. dont have to waste my time with as many bs gen eds now at college. really, just call or research the schools you lookin at and check what they actually accept and what they dont. its that easy. generally, the "better" a college, the less likely they are to accept AP. my college is nothin special but very solid at gettin business kids to good jobs so it was the move.

AP credit isn't that beneficial if you're tryin to do like engineerin or physics/bio cause schools still wanna teach you that shit and make sure you really know it. but if you're goin business or something more straightforward and easier like it, then AP is dope since you cant skip the useless general requirements and save $$$
