Anybody got any Blockbuster memories?

Thinking back, I wasted so much money on DVD and game rentals. Probably enough to get through 4 years of community college.

Good times renting games and movies at blockbuster. Whenever it was raining when I was a kid we would get to go rent something. I bet redbox is making bank though...

blockbuster made a killing bc they were basically a monopoly. If i remember correctly when redbox was up and coming, they suggested a partnership proposal but blockbuster laughed at them and rejected their offer.

I remember we were trying to check out Hitman and my dad had a real bad late fee to I think batman begins and he was I might aswell pay it. It was like 30 bucks. The funny thing was we kept the hit man movie for longer and he never paid the fee.

even though the technology we have now is way better, it was all special and exciting and shit to hit up block buster for vhs and n64 rentals, eventually dvds and ps2 rentals. Damn I just realized theres kids that teenagers now that didn't grow up on vhs and n64. MIND EXPLOSION.

my city never had a blockbuster, we just had locally owned video stores. they all shut down long ago though. i do miss just going in and spending like an hour picking out games when i was little.

my gf lives a short drive from a family video and tbh we still hit that place up all the time. shit is like 2 movies for 5 nights for $1. hard to beat that.
November 15, 2013 @ 19:36:28

renting games was dope, as a kid back then you had to pick em just based off what the cover looked like. kids today aint gonna have a diverse experience like that cuz they gotta buy every game they got smh
November 16, 2013 @ 13:25:37
Lol, used to rent a game and if I liked it, then would cop it.

Yeah, those were the days.
