I didn't feel like crashing the RIP thread but am I the only person who doesn't care when these celebrities die. As soon as news like Robin Williams (or any celebrity's) death is announced the spew of bullshit starts everywhere.I actually feel you on this except "If you asked anyone about Robin Williams 3 days ago they would have said he was a decent actor and quite funny." He really was a legend be it stand-up comedy in his early start,to T.V. in the 80's,to movies, to even his views on politics & fashion. I feel you on the whole bandwagon after people die thing.
If you asked anyone about Robin Williams 3 days ago they would have said he was a decent actor and quite funny. But on the news now every celebrity you could think of is giving there 2 cents as if anyone gives a fuck and I swear I've heard every stupid cliche on tv this morning. Suddenly he's "one of a kind" and "one of the kindest men in the world", same as any of them when they die.
But as far as his impact on the public I think Robin Williams was in different league than 95% of celebs that have passed. And that's why you see a sincere feeling of grief from the public. Any time any human dies it's a tragedy but there's a difference between the genuine impact of a Robin Williams vs. say a Paul Walker. No disrespect to P.W.
