I am thinking of buying my first car. I have been driving a car my parents loaned me for about two years. Looking for a car in the 5000-8000 range. Been looking at some Audi's, BMWs, Lexus, and others. I don't like American muscle. Recently I saw an Audi a6 for 5500. Which cars did you buy when you finally made the decision to. My brother bought a BMW 330ci.

Older m3 model? I know those cars are the hype right now but they're nice as fuck lol. The maintenance is expensive though.

Lexus is300 is a nice car too. Manual on that thing is fucking sexy.

Mid-90s BMW. Find one with low miles that's in shape and keep up on it. Do the small maintenance yourself and it really isn't bad to keep up, especially if you've got a solid job.

Actually I have been looking at 98 and 99 m3s. I was almost going to buy one off this dude for 3 grand last year but it had bumps and shit.

Any M3 for 3k has some serious red flags all over it.

I drove it, it drove perfectly, just needed a new passanger seat, or seat cover, the trunk and hood needed to be painted and one of the doors hand a small ding.

Oh, word. If that was all that was wrong with it then you probably passed up a steal haha. Either way though, if you're buying used or from private sellers make sure you try to get maintenance records as far back as you can and be sure to check every little thing that you can. It seems like common sense but you'd be surprised how many people, myself included, forget to do that when buying for the first time. I stand firm with the BMW suggestion but good luck with whatever you choose!

idk if SUVs are your thing but a porsche cayenne is a good starter. looking around 20-36k but milages are so high. if not go for a beamer 3 series or benz c-class. lexus is series and audi a4 also works

5-8k down you can grab a nice 20-26k car and pay under 300 a month for it with a little negotiating. Just test drive some cars in your price range and get something you like. dont go off looks/name alone just get whatever you like

unless you make solid upper 4/5 digits monthly, no dealers gonna finance a used 30k+ Cayenne.
