Anybody who can help me come up with some ideas would be much appreciated for a poster on the Khmer Rouge.

I definitely recommend you doing some extensive research on the camps of Thailand and Vietnam. You should look into this documentary called Year Zero, and do some research on the impact of the landmines still scattered across Cambodia to this day. My parents experienced the Khmer Rouge so ask me anything.

The concentration camps are your best bet, I hear alot of my relatives talk about the brutal murders, harsh conditions like only getting to eat rice porridge all day every day, waking up 5 am every morning til night time to work to survive, and what they had to resort to in order to stay alive, like stealing food to feed family and risking death if you were caught. If they felt like killing you, they'd shoot you on the spot.
