you dont just accidentally end up brolic from lifting. you have to lift hard, constantly change up your routine to avoid muscle memory, do like 5-6 days a week, etc. you also have to consume an insane amount of calories and protein. you can casually lift like 3 times a week and that will give you a moderate base and increased metabolism. you don't just end up big, it takes years of conditioning and calculatingI used to lift when I played football. I'm not about that brolic lifestyle anymore; I just want to be skinny and maybe a little tone.

Don't lift but do sets of pull ups and push ups so your muscles aren't being strained harder then your own weight, because muscle burns fat and even when you aren't working out and eating junk food it helps you keep it off. Moderate upper body/abs and plenty of running on a daily basis will do the trick.
