It's not about how far you run though, it's how hard. You gotta pay attention to your heart rate because this is your main indicator as to whether or not you're gonna be on track. For effective fat loss you wanna be working within 60-70% of your maximum heart rate (maxHR can be calculated by subtracting your age from 220 so assuming you're 20 years old, your maxHR would be 200).
