I'm a senior in high school, so I just want to get some ideas as to what I can do in the future. So... What do you work as? How's the pay? I really don't want to end up working just for the money, so I'd rather have a job I'm truly happy with. Of course a higher salary would be a bonus, but that shouldn't be the top priority. Please be very detailed in your answer. Thanks!

What do you work as? What country you from homie, deadass curious cuz I feel like thats some euro shit to say.


I drive a lime green dump truck around NYC and LI picking anything that isn't wet paint up. 12 an hour plus 40-$100 bucks tip a day. Weekend side gig while im in school.

When im not in school I run my own shit hauling trailers and everything possible with a heavy duty truck I own. thats anything between 40-300 an hour.

Not that easy to get into GS, but culture is full of cut-throat fuckers. Exit opps are fucking legit if you're in IBD/S&T/IM/AM.

 It's better to work a job you enjoy then a job you don't enjoy.

College degree/MBA will mean higher salary most of the time though

I'm a server at a casino. Tips are pretty sporadic, I can walk with anything from 100-400 a night (after tipping out my bussers) it just depends on how things work out. I would say that I safely walk with 600 a week working 5 days, and that is lowballing it. Paychecks are fucking bullshit though. I had 71 hours on my last one and it came out to 200 bucks. I honestly really like my job too, everyone there is super chill and most of the time its pretty easy. Working your way up in a casino is also hella fucking easy you just have to be willing to take a pay cut becoming a supervisor. But, upper management is making bank roll. For Instance, my best friends step dad (who got me a bussing job back when) is bringing in near 6 figs, he's under 40, and all he does is log in hours for his employees and plays Angry Birds on the shitter.

My cousin is a tax intern for GS atm so it's possible.

Dude probably goes to a school near GS's headquarters.

Also, he never said it was only a spring internship so it could be a continuation from a summer internship for all we know.
