Negative Paypal Balance? Have you have one?

Long story short. Sold some stuff online. Got hit with a few claims, don't have shit to show due to the fact it was online goods. Now my paypal is a few hundred dollars in the negatives. Contacted Paypal because I got an email about it my account is basically on a limitation, and the dude said that I'm basically banned from using that Paypal again, and it also didn't look good that I had the "buyers" send payment as a gift so I didn't get hit with any fees. (Stupid on my part, I'm aware.)

At this point he said I should be looking at an email after all these claims are finished in about 7 days from a paypal collector, I've been reading about this shit online and some people say they won't do shit, some say it all depends on where you're located, etc. I'm just wondering if I should bite the bullet and make payments to pay it off, or what? Anyone else have this happen to them before? Any info would be helpful.

Did you just bite the bullet and pay? And the dude from paypal said I'd only be getting emails to begin with and an email, if i respond back I wouldn't get anything via the mail, or anyone in person. He said they only have that happen if you really refuse to pay and it goes to an outside collector. I don't have the cash right now, but I would be down to make small payments every week if i had to.

I wasn't in the wrong, it may be scamming but thats the thing, paypal doesn't insure online goods, they really can't help the seller out due to the fact it's an online good and it's far too loose of a situation, no real receipts, could have screen shots but the buy might just say its not them, a claim is rarely ever favored in the sellers position when dealing with online goods i was told. So either way, I'm out the money. If that makes any sense.

yeah happened to me before but never gotten into the hundreds. if that paypal account is closed then you wont be able to link your bank account to it until you get a new bank account. i would just pay for it thats what i did.

At this point I don't think I'll be using paypal again. But I guess I'll just start making payments whenever I get a call, it sucks because at this point I'm pretty goddamn broke.

This shit hapend to me on ss, sold this faggot a cord posse SnapBack for 150, everything went through and a month later the payment was reversed, turned out this kook used a stolen credit card to buy the cap from me, dude sent as gift so I couldn't do shit about it, he ended up with the hat and 150 of my money. Hmm by online goods do you mean like digital goods? Like code n shit? Or do you mean like a normal paypal transaction for selling clothes, but the guy went through gift payment?

There's definitely loopholes in paypal, and most of them fuck the seller to benefit paypal or the buyer in terms of liabilities. I've argued against their policies with logic to win a case before, but it takes a long time to wade through the bullshit agents that basically just want to close your claims and have you pay.
