What made you choose to shoot a short erotic film rather than one from a different movie genre, and how are you going to differ it from a porno, its easy to make this kinda thing real tacky so how are you going to avoid this?Glad to see someone actually asked a question. I've always been interested in film and cinematography. I've shot other types of pieces for friends, family, etc. But nothing of an erotic nature. I decided to attempt this genre for a few reasons, to see if I enjoy it, to see what my limits are when it comes to shooting (to try and push them), and I'm very interested with human interaction, connections, etc.

As far as the erotic film to porno goes, I'm going to attempt to use a more natural settings, more natural lighting, and in a sense more natural people. What we're looking for in actors and actresses isn't fake breasts, shitty acting, etc. I'm also going to attempt to use different angles in my film to minimize the amount of close up penetration, (although there will be scenes with it) and the "fake" feeling when watching a porno. If that makes any sense.

Do you plan on marketing it in some way?At this point I'm more focused on the basic steps, finding people who will take roles, legal matters, etc. I haven't thought of how we could market it just yet. But it is an important step.

It isn't going to be something I'll post in a few days you know, but I just decided to take a chance (Due to a smaller class schedule this spring) to get the ball rolling. I'm still in the process of how to go about casting, paperwork, etc, so it's all legal.

Info on castWe're only looking at the moment, nothing is truly set in stone as far as cast goes. It will be males/females from the New England area or East coast. Not looking for a milf type film, and at the same time nothing like "just turned 18", you know? I want to find a balance or a middle ground because I feel those two are very played out.

Like I said earlier I'm doing it as just a side project during this spring, I have no deadlines, no one to turn the final project into, it's pretty independent. I can see that this is a lot of work, and hopefully I'm up for it. If it falls through for some reason, it does, if it goes through and I don't enjoy it, I won't do it again.
