So i gotta do my payroll for my new job and im doin direct deposit when I get paid and the form asks me for my bank number which im not sure what it is. Im assuming that the bank number and the routing number are the same thing?
For direct deposit, you have to give them a check with void written across it. If you're still confused, just take a blank check, write void across the whole thing, and then ask one of the HR people which number you need to put in.
You have a bank account number. Then you have different routing numbers depending on what type of payment you receive (wire or electronic). You can go to your bank and ask for these numbers or you can check through your online banking.
