The only people who get robbed/pickpocketed are stupid fucking tourists who are so amazed by the city that they constantly have to have their shit out in the open (cameras, phones, wallets).

its really not that hard to guard your shit, keep it on your front pocket or deep in a back pocket thats tight against ur leg, dont carry more cash than you need/dont care if you get tooken.

I think youre more likely to get mugged thank pickpocketed to be honest.
