Damn what's up with niggas albums leakin a month early? Toro y moi did too. Niggas needd to stop trusting these label heads, probably getting some cash on the side just to leak shit smh
why would they leak it for money when they could get way more off album sales? smh
cause an executive doesn't make more or less money if an Album goes platinum. the label collectively makes more money, But he doesn't get a direct cut of the money whether an album sells good or not. So that could give him an incentive to sell an early copy of the album for however much.

I think the most logical explanation is ASAP-Yams was sharing the music early (as usual) and it got to the wrong person who shared it with the wrong individual who decided to leak it.

It'll definitely hurt sales, but it's not as if artists take a big cut off album sales.

In a way, leaks can be helpful if you're more of a touring artist.

tbh he might be fine and they won't have to bring the album's release date forward.. they also won't have to start the album from scratch again.

these artists need to do something different, most can drop a hot mixtape every few months, why not leak a mixtape, claim it was the album then drop a whole different album/tracklist on the day of release. shit would create buzz like crazy and every nigga would cop because its full of fresh tracks from the artist they love.

i doubt it will grow.  the weak songs will become too boring to listen to and the stronger songs will become forgettable in the wake of the much stronger first release.
