^ to be considered addiction it would have to get in the way of you doing something or influence your view of other things. If you really look at it. An hour of porn use could be considered addiction it'd time you spend that could be used for something useful. When if you masterbate by yourself it could take 2-5 minutes to reach orgasm.

I'm 18 and I haven't fapped since I was 12 and haven't intently watched porn since I was 14.

Fapping was easy to quit considering I never did much anyway.
Porn was just a lil iffy.

I didn't masturbate until I was 21 and I'm 22 now. My life has gotten better since I started because I do it in moderation. I'm more relaxed, I don't think about sex as much and have more time for hobbies, I'm less likely to just hookup with a girl even if I don't actually like her, and I feel healthier overall. I had a gf all of high school until age 20 so it wasn't a big deal but age 20-21 was not good...I don't think it's healthy or natural to not cum on a regular bases. To me it seems like with everything moderation is key. Maybe you have an addicting personality and are incapable of moderation, but if you don't have will power then good for you for quitting.

No, an addiction and a problem is when you do it too dam much to the point that you have to think you have to quit. Again, if you got blunted once a year, you'd look like an idiot saying : Dam, I gotta quit smoking. If you blunted 5 times a day then hell yeah it makes sense.

LOL, you're putting the porn on a pedestal .. Porn doesn't do that shit to you. Real pussy can do the same thing if you allow it to influence your mind like that. Porn is a neutral medium to get your rocks off. If it impacts you in any other way, you need to start doing some personal reflection more. You got a girlfriend too and you're talking about quitting porn? That means you're fapping pretty frequently even though you have the real thing.

One person smokes weed and they become a lazy ass.. Another smokes it and writes a novel .. Different 'strokes' for different folks brah. The hardest thing in life is to understand it's you that is the root of your problems/deficiencies. You can do things like blame on the porn and never address yourself and try to hide from things.. Or, you can focus on addressing issues you have w/ yourself and embrace life. I.e - fap less .. do your girl more .. and get shit done in life. I wanted to stop out of curiosity of what it would do to me. After I stopped I read all those articles which said how it affects your brain over time. Also read peoples journels on yourbrainonporn and noticed similar partners to what was explained in the articles. It made me stand by my decision even more. Now if I fap I do it with imagination not off of visual stimulation given by porn. The only thing I noticed now I am hyper sensitive to porn and even a quick nude can get me stimulated or even if I see a nice ass around town I get a little horny. Also my girl got so happy when I quit and is proud.

@thatthugthought you do have some good points to. Dont get me wrong. I think I won't forbid porn. Because of that it feels too rewarding when I see a quick video. I just wont care for it too much. If I watch it fine if I don't fine. The hyper stimulation is annoying. Any titty or whatever I see instantly gets me going. I'm not an advocate of fapping. I'm an advocate of truth and science and the b.s articles, TED so its true, and nonsense surrounding your brain on porn and your religious experience after quitting are anything but...

You want to quit porn for personal reasons.. I am all for supporting you and your endeavor if it brings more positivity to your life. However, the science on porn is bogus. Be careful of 'studies'. They have 0 to do w/ proven science. Quitting porn is actually quite easy.. Digging deeper to understand why you utilize it to  negatively impact your life isn't.

You're walking around town looking at ass and tities... objectifying women ... mind fucking em'. Congratulations, nothing has changed.. Brain activity might be different but you are essentially doing the same thing. Instead of the 'image' coming in through your visual cortex, you are deriving it in the creative section of your brain. The hormones secretion/synaptic uptake that results is the same.

 it's called being a male and has to do w/ your natural desire to procreate. Now that you have quit you want to bone your girl even more.. Congratulations, the root desire is still there. There is nothing wrong w/ porn just like there is nothing wrong w/ guns.. It has to do w/ the person .. varies from person to person. So, what I am advocating is that you focus more on yourself and blame yourself more .. Take personal responsibility and stop blaming inanimate objects for failings/issues in your personal life. It's a harder pill to swallow but its what will actually get you on track w/ a more wholesome life. If not, feel free to blame porn, rap music, video games, etc .. You'll only go from one manifestation of a personal problem to the next. Cheers on your journey !

I said in my past post that I agreed with the moderation because restraining yourself just keeps you horny. I am not blaming porn for any of my short comings. I only said what all the researchers and people who have stopped say. They all say when you stop you put more effort everywhere else. After you read so much you believe the connections because they are widely spread. The problem with that though is correlation does not prove causation. So I had to try it myself. The only effect I've seen is I get super horny. So I started using it moderately again that's why I posted the comment after the other. I decided if I felt like it is see it a day or two out of the week.
Then while looking up is moderate pornuse good for you I saw a comment that had a video attached to it with porn stars that were either murdered by clients or committed sucide. I had to post about here because she was my favorite star.
