Is your mind quiet all the time? Do you still have random thoughts throughout your day? My mind is basically a perpetual state of emptiness.

My mind is far from quiet. Perhaps I should attempt meditation

yes. i mediate 3 times a day for 15 mins each. im not sure your mind is "emptiness" thought brother. It might be that you accept acceptance of the moments your not thinking of the "past" or "future" you a content, thats a good thing.

I am content. I was sitting in my college library one day and realized that what we think is separate from our true selves. And boom it hit me. It was enlightening.

I think it's all about living in the moment man, and just stop thinking. But that's the hardest part for most people.

I used to be skeptical but started meditating as a means of stress management and shit works. Clears the head, cleanses the body and leaves you feeling piff

Check out the audio book; Breathing: The master key to self healing by Dr Andrew Weil... Dudes a baus

Fuck with sensory deprivation heavily, if you're into meditation I'd recommend checking it out. Very cool experience, physically, visually, and mentally.

I prefer carcinogens to endorphins.

I mean I guess you could do that, but it wouldn't be as effective. You can go to places to "float" you basically are put into a tank, no light, no noise, you can't see or hear anything, on top of that you're put in saline water so you float, and the water is monitored to the exact temperature as your skin, you almost loose yourself if that makes any sense, you're left with only your mind and thoughts, it's really a cool experience, I would highly recommend.

I prefer carcinogens to endorphins.
