I was a little skater punk. Not an emo/punk skateboarder, but the kid that was always rockin shirts from skate companies no one knew. When I finished my homework/music (Asian fam life) all that was on my mind was skateboarding and chillin' with the homies. I was decently popular in High School, but skating always took priority over everything - I was addicted. No weed, fashion, or even girls until I started skating less. Life used to be so simple haha...

Edit: I looked like Sean Malto throughout high school. Dressed the same, same hair, etc. Wasn't on purpose, but I was ok with it

^ Pretty much the same for me except I was moreso a skater gangster lol. Only difference is partying and females beat skating for me. I regret that quite a bit. Being popular was awesome since I knew pretty much every high school but damn...all I do is skate now and I love it. I also almost never smoked weed until I graduated. razz

Yeah I mean I grew up in Iowa until Soph year (Michigan) so all we did was skate. Good times, skating isn't the same b/c it's all park for me now and much less. I miss skating around town finding spots with nothing but my friends, gatorade, and a camera

We actually had some dudes come up out of our area, since we skated so much. They're all in Cali now doing their thing

Mostly hung out with the jock type that only cared about sports clubs and bitches, but when i had time i hung out with some of the guitar playing hippie type guys too, honestly i like that type of dude because they are always so chill and there is no internal competing and no need for ego flexing

thats one of those things you dont realise till later on, pretty sure everyone who skated's favourite memorys was when you were to young to drive or go out at night, but old enough to skate around all day with just your friends

i miss those days so much, like just literally skating street corners for the whole day getting dirty and not giving a fuck
thats so real. Skating super far bc you couldnt drive, staying out till you couldn't see your board or you were too dehydrated to continue, or till the park closed, or till you got kicked out, or till mom started calling....

thats something I lost after leaving Iowa. In MI it was all park skating to hold us over until the snow came

I'll be disappointed if I ever have a son and he doesn't get to experience those joys.

Freshmen year hanged out with the geeks cuz I was really into video games n shit, Sophomore year hanged with the
stoners/gangsters. Junior year finally found my swagger & started hanging with the more popular kids. football players/jocks. Senior Year same as the year before. Then after high school I lost contact to most of them, but started to hang with Skater kids since I started getting into skating during my first year in college
