It's because as soon as you're behind a computer, the human/emotion factor goes away, you can say anything with no consequence or remorse so that's what they do. Kinda like how people will be really big assholes behind the wheel but once they get out of the car they're nice people, why? because they have a 3000lbs+ metal cage around them, same principle applies for the internet.
