She did not deserve the abuse, but my questions lies on why the poor girl think it was appropriate to publicize herself to strangers. She should've known better. What urks me is people saying thats the consequence for being a "slut". Everyone is rewarded a second chance. People learn from their mistakes. It was readily apparent she learnt her lesson when all she wanted was a new beginning.

Granted I don't know what the hell she is saying but this is all too familiar. I figured this would be a good way to open the discussion. How do you feel about this supposed "bullying" epidemic in the US? Personally, I think it's being blown way out of proportion. Kids are cruel. There has always been bullies and there will always be bullies. If anything, the only thing that has changed is how soft these kids have gotten. I guarantee if the girl in the video would have grown a spine, the bully would not have been empowered to take it to that level. Kids nowadays really need to develop a thicker skin. Sick of seeing these kids making YouTube videos holding up fucking postcards as a plea for help. If you're allowing another person to drive your life to that degree...you are an extremely WEAK person and you will have to be HELPED your entire life. Anyway, enough of the rant. Thoughts?

but yeah, humans have been "bullying" since the beginning of time. People only focus on it more these days and call it an "epidemic" because its all over the internet and kids are thirsty for internet attention. Seems like every wannabe internet celeb is talking about anti bullying and shit like its a new disease that needs a cure. A lot of people use these things for facebook likes and retweets.
There was this one kid who made one of those notecard videos crying talking about how he gets bullied and is suicidal just so he can get followers and attention from celebs. He had prior videos on a diff channel from days ago with him and friends being douchebags that he started flagging down whenever people reuploaded them to expose him. But of course the Anti-Bully people gave him all the attention he craved. 20,000 twitter followers, millions of youtube views, News coverage on Gawker, etc.
